Pastor Rick Cowan became a Christian at the age of 16 in a preaching service at Calvary Baptist Church under the ministry of Pastor Roy Dowdy.

Shortly after his salvation he felt God’s call on his life to preach. Since that time he has served in varying capacities at Calvary including; the bus ministry, Sunday school, Children’s church, and Teen Class. Later he became the small groups director and an assistant Pastor. In 2010 he was ordained to the gospel ministry and became the Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.

Pastor Rick married Rebekah Dowdy in 2001. They have 6 children.
