We believe that the scripture is God’s means of calling, saving, convicting, leading and growing His people. As such, we are committed to the faithful exposition of God’s word. That is, we seek to teach God’s word in it’s context. Our practice is to continue through one book of the Bible at a time, paying special attention to God’s intended meaning and application. Basically, that means that you will not hear a lot of ranting, raving or opinion in our preaching, but you will go away knowing more about God, Jesus and Salvation than you did before.

Ephesians 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

As man rejects God and turns to fulfill his own lusts, his conscience becomes increasingly insensitive. All sensation of right and wrong begins to disappear.

We see this happening in our society today. All throughout our culture we are witnessing a progressive hardening toward God and an active rebellion against him as men and women violate their own consciences, redefining morality and rejecting all that is right, until they become “past feeling”. No guilt, no shame and no more ability to distinguish right from wrong.

We see that some sins, which were once rejected even by unsaved men and women are now willingly accepted and made mainstream. Not only that, but some sins which were rarely spoken of are now celebrated in an in-your-face manner. Our society has gone full-circle and now condemns, not those who practice gross immorality, but those who dare to speak against it. They, in their arrogance, claim to have the truth and look upon all that is Godly as foolish. Ironically, the Bible teaches that the exact opposite is true:

Psalms 14:1  The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Our new gospel tract is completed. Read it over and familiarize yourself with the gospel. Use it as a tool to help you to build confidence in your ability to witness to others. Memorize the headings and a verse under each. As you increase in your understanding of the gospel you will become more and more confident in sharing your faith with others.
